Abyss (1967) by Kate Wilhelm

This is a pair of novellas - one story about a woman finding an opening inside her reality, the other about an injured alien on earth trying to get home. The first one was a little on the abstract side for me, and I found it difficult to understand what was going on throughout the story. The second one was similar, but easier to grasp because the story was more grounded. In the second story the humans did tangible and relatable actions, and it was far easier to understand the intent. Alright stories overall, but forgettable. 3/5
