This is another of Stephen King's books loosely in the "crime" genre, fitting in closer with Mr. Mercedes or Outsider than The Shining or Misery. It's about the eponymous character, a sniper for hire, taking one last job for a considerably high amount of money. The book has a lot going on (the assassination is not the entirety of the book - a LOT of other things go on in this story).
I found the pace good and the characters interesting, though I think King falls into some character templates (probably easiest to see in the Dark Tower series, Eddie appears in many forms across his works). But there were some clever twists and turns that I sincerely enjoyed reading here. 5/5
