I liked Stephen King's Elevation (2018). Similar to Gwendy's Button Box (which I also read this year), this was a pretty breezy read. Set in Castle Rock, it's a story of a man who progressively loses weight, and as it impacts him, it inadvertently opens his eyes to the prejudices of the small town he's in. This King novel is fiction, but not horror, with the flair of supernatural to move the story along. Not perfect (some characters are better than others) but overall a pleasant and short read. 4/5. 4/5
