I stumbled upon this title after looking at a movie review site for top horror films of the decade. The film "The Skin I Live In" (2011), which is the film adaptation of this book stood out as a psychological thriller in a sea of supernatural films, and felt worth a read. The writing style jumping between characters is definitely a little odd, but works well for the fairly short story being told. It's not a frightening book in the same way as some Stephen King novels are, but the plot is certainly unsettling. 4/5
