A Scanner Darkly (2006)

A Scanner Darkly (2006) is a rotoscoped film of a Philip K Dick story. Starring Keanu Reeves (but also with Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr., and Woody Harrelson), it revolves around an addictive drug that has 20% of the country as users. Reeves is a user and distributor, leading a double life as a cop and dealer. I remember this film initially because the rotoscoping process led to delays in the film, and related budgeting problems. That all said, it's a unique film for its style and story - and though the story is shaky in a lot of ways, it captures your attention with its visuals and acting. 7/10
