The other night I watched Cowboy Bebop: Episodes 1-5 (1998 Japan; 2001 US). I've had this DVD for a long time, and it's all of the series I have: I feel like these five episodes tell the core of the story better than the series as a whole.

I feel there are some better anime series out there nowadays, but this one was still one of the first ones I watched, and I feel it's still one of the best introductions.
