Crisis (1946)

Crisis (1946) by Ingmar Bergman, is a film about two women and the daughter (Nelly) they both care about: one of the women is Nelly's mother Jenny, who gave her daughter to the other woman, Ingeborg. The film takes place when Nelly is 18, and Jenny comes to collect Nelly and give her a job and get her out of the small town she grew up in.

I haven't seen many of Bergman's films, but I'll be going through many of them with the Criterion Collection box set I got last year. But my impressions of his films so far have been that they're common of the times - but sometimes the tone of the film goes off in a different direction that is kinda weird. The acting is generally good (Though didn't care for Nelly's acting the entire movie). It was alright, and at 93min the lulls didn't drag the film down too much 5/10
