Futurama (1999)

I've been going through Futurama and have gotten through the original series (seasons 1-4) as well as the movie specials. Some minor musings about that.

Of the original series, season 4 is by far the best (with several of the best episodes coming from this season, among them: "Jurassic Bark", "Three Hundred Big Boys", "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings"), and season 2 the worst (although it's still alright to go through). The series just found its stride and would be canceled for two years.

When the movies came out "Bender's Big Score" was the first and probably the best in this block of films, doing time travel and the Fry/Leela relationship storyline well. Probably my least favorite was The Beast with a Billion Backs because it was slow compared to the others (although again, it's still alright to go through).

Going through this reminds me how much I like Futurama as a series though. It misses once in a while, but it's still one of my favorites. Seasons 1: 7/10; 2: 6/10; 3: 9/10; 4: 10/10; 4 Films: 9/10; 7/10; 6/10; 7/10. 8/10
