Locke & Key: Season 1 (2020)

The books were pretty solid source material, and it felt like in the Season 1 they chopped a lot up from all books to cram it into an all-encompassing season. With Season 2 on the horizon I do look forward to new material, keys and stories, but similar to other superhero style shows, I worry they add too many powers too fast, and it leads to burning out or ignoring the story because of whiz-bang new abilities to introduce.

They did a really good job so far though - the only gripe I have is overuse of CGI, which I argue most TV series use poorly, and is a common practice because it keeps the effects budget cheaper. Yes it keeps things cheaper, but it shows and occasionally distracts. 8/10
