Mama (2013)

Mama (2013) is a horror film about a couple taking in two nieces along with a ghost that latched onto them. I think it turned out to be a fairly good horror film: story was simple if a little contrived, and at 1h40m it didn't overstay its welcome. I'm generally not a fan of startling imagery or overdone visual effects in horror movies, and this had both, but it wasn't too overused. Second half of the movie is a lot better than the first half. 7/10
