Moonlight (2016)

Moonlight (2016) is an excellent film that has me reevaluating some films I've appreciated in the past. It's a portrait of a gay black male growing up in Miami, building off of excellent character building, striking cinematography, and a moving story. The Academy Awards gaffe feels like it's eclipsing its 3 wins in the news (including best picture); it deserves better recognition than that. 10/10
