This film came out with the onset of the Caronavirus, so to be fair it came out in an interesting time. It's a movie about a boy and his brother getting a gift to meet with their father who passed away over a decade earlier - unfortunately this is through a spell that doesn't quite work out, so they only have the bottom half of their dad to work with, and they go on a quest to complete his body before time runs out.
It was a pretty charming film, and I think the overall story and charaters were pretty good. Starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland and with a good supporting cast, I think the story as a whole holds out really well. The animation is seamless (of course), built on decades of the animation progress at Pixar. Although I think the overall message may be a little much for smaller audiences (this storyline feels a little too adult for younger audiences), I think it holds its own quite well, which is a good bellwether for the upcoming post-Lasseter era of Pixar films. 8/10
