I highly recommend the 1940 version above this [new 2020 remake] one - but this one's also free on Netflix so the barrier for entry's a lot lower.

My favorite Alfred Hitchcock film is Vertigo (1958, 10/10), but before that Hitchcock won his first and only Academy Award for Best Picture (he never received one for Best Director) for Rebecca (1940). It turns 80 this year, and last time I saw it was still an excellent film. 9/10

Yep, still going through movies - Rebecca (1940) is still a great film, and remains an underappreciated Hitchcock film in my opinion. Fun fact that one of the actors later does the voice for Shere Khan in the original (animated) Jungle Book. Still 9/10. 9/10

Alfred Hitchcock is known for many films - Vertigo, The Birds, Psycho, The Man Who Knew Too Much, North by Northwest, etc, etc. One of the lesser known Hitchcock films is Rebecca from 1940, starring Laurence Olivier (y'all may know him best as Zeus in the original Clash of the Titans) and Joan Fontaine.
It's actually gotten harder to find good films streaming on Netflix and Amazon Instant Video. I do recommend watching it if you can find it somewhere though - it's early Hitchcock, but a very good film and quite under-appreciated. 9/10
