RKO 281 (1999)

20 December 2017

A movie I really like is Citizen Kane (1941, 8/10), and the movie I watched this evening talked about its development, and covers the interactions of Orson Welles and William Randolph Hearst. The film RKO 281 (1999) was an HBO production that was produced by Ridley Scott, and ultimately was a decent production with actors John Malkovich, James Cromwell, and Roy Scheider in the cast. It told a decent story but felt long for a 90 minute runtime - it was good to get the personalities presented, but felt a little weak on story. I'll hold onto it for a bit because I like the history, but I don't know if I'll have it 10 years from now. 5/10
