Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)

Last night I watched Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). I'm a fan of the Star Wars franchise - Ep. V is one of my favorite films ever, Ep. IV was a turning point in filmmaking in several ways, and Lego Star Wars is an amazing video game. So I figured I would like it: series reviews have been I (3/10), II (5/10), III (N/A), IV (9/10), V (10/10), VI (8/10), VII (6/10).
Generally speaking, I liked the film a lot - and appreciated how they integrated it with the Star Wars universe. Although it felt a little messy in places, it definitely took the world and expanded on it. While it's not hard to guess the plot or the conclusion of the story, I thought it made for a fantastic homage for the original trilogy. (8/10; would be 8.5 but imdb doesn't do halves) 8/10
