Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens (2015)

When I first saw The Force Awakens I had some problems with it. I was frustrated with its [very] formulaic approach to the franchise, and some of the plagiarism it pulled from its own history.

I watched it again this evening though and I've warmed up to it significantly. I've found this new generation of characters give a heart to the series that was tough to see through the plot parallels the first time around. Although I still find Abrams passiveness in building up the story frustrating, I think the ambiguities it ends with does give the series a lot of flexibility for the next two episodes.

When it came out I gave it a 6/10; now it's an 8/10. 8/10

Saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I'll keep my rating on IMDb, and my opinions to those who ask about it, since folks are going a little overboard on no-spoiler front. I am curious what other folks think though. 6/10
