The Killing of a Chinese Bookie (1976)

John Cassavetes' "The Killing of a Chinese Bookie" is a weird film about a strip club owner needing to pay off a gambling debt by assassinating someone. It's one of those movies that doesn't provide you a clear story, and the original cut is definitely too long (I watched the 1976 version, but the 1978 version is nearly a half hour shorter), but the movie's interesting if you can get over the avant garde strip club. 7/10
