The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)

I adore the first part of The Lego Movie (2014, 9/10), so I was looking forward to seeing The Lego Movie: The Second Part (2019). Set 5 years in the future, Duplo invaders from space dropped in on Emmet, Wildstyle and Batman and changed their world. Now on top of that, they're trying to prevent a worse fate from happening. I heard it was a similarly good film, and that's really hard for sequels to do. That said, it's a solid follow-up to the original, and I highly recommend it. Story flows well, the humor stays on par with the first film, and it sticks with appealing both to children and adults. If you liked the first, you'll like the second almost as much. It's a tiny bit darker, and some parts are a little offbeat, so that may bother you a little. 8/10
