Videodrome (1983)

Next on part of Cronenbergfest (Cronenbergsgiving?) is Videodrome (1983). Film about a guy watching a pirated video broadcast and hallucinates a lot of weird stuff. Strange to watch, and although it's dated (you see the weirdest VHS cassettes in this movie) there are some similar concepts in one of his later films, Existenz (1999). In 35 years technology hasn't been kind to either the effects or the story, but it's still fascinating to see how weird it is. 6/10
